Mr. Stephen B. Burke is Senior Executive Vice President of the Company and Chief Executive Officer, NBC Universal. He oversees the companys valuable portfolio of news, sports and entertainment networks, a premier motion picture company, significant television production operations, a leading television stations group, and worldrenowned theme parks. Steve assumed this role in January 2011, upon the closing of Comcast and General Electrics joint venture merging the assets of NBC Universal with Comcasts programming assets. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Comcast Corporationrationration, where he was a driving force in its growth from a cable industry leader to one of the nations leading providers of entertainment, information and communication products and services. Steve joined Comcast in 1998 as President of Comcast Cable. During his tenure, Comcast became the largest cable company, largest residential Internet service provider and thirdlargest phone company in America, along with launching a wireless business. Steve also led Comcast to leadership in multiplatform video entertainment distribution, including the companys industrychanging videoondemand platform and online video offerings. He was praised for leading the highly successful integration of ATT Broadband with Comcast. Prior to Comcast, Steve served with The Walt Disney Company as President of ABC Broadcasting. Steve joined The Walt Disney Company in January 1986, where he helped to develop and found The Disney Stores. In 1992, he moved to Euro Disney S.A., where, as President and Chief Operating Officer, he helped to lead a comprehensive restructuring effort. Steve serves on the board of directors of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., and J.P. Morgan Chase Co. Steve is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Colgate University and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He lives in New York with his wife and five children. since 2020.
