Dr. Richard E. Erickson M.D. serves as Lead Independent Trustee of First Trust Enhanced Equity Income Fund. He is an orthopedic surgeon and President of Wheaton Orthopedics. He also was a coowner and director of a fitness center and a limited partner of two real estate companies. Dr. Erickson has served as a Trustee of each Fund since its inception and of the First Trust Funds since 1999. Dr. Erickson has also served as the Lead Independent Trustee, Chairman of the Nominating and Governance Committee, Chairman of the Valuation Committee and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the First Trust Funds.
