Dr. Myles W. Scoggins serves as an Independent Director of the Company, He has served as one of our directors since May 2012. Dr. Scoggins is President Emeritus of the Colorado School of Mines, an engineering and science research university with strong ties to the oil and gas industry. He served as its 16th President from June 2006 until July 2015. Dr. Scoggins retired in April 2004 after a 34year career with Mobil Oil Corporation and Exxon Mobil Corporation, where he held senior executive positions in the upstream oil and gas business. From December 1999 to April 2004, he served as Executive Vice President of ExxonMobil Production Co. Prior to the merger of Mobil and Exxon in December 1999, he was President, International Exploration Production and Global Exploration and an officer and member of the executive committee of Mobil. He was a member of the board of directors of QEP Resources, Inc., a publicly traded independent onshore U.S. oil and gas exploration and production company since July 2010 . From March 2010 until April 2018, Dr. Scoggins was a member of the board of directors Cobalt International Energy, Inc., a publicly traded deepwater oil exploration company from February 2005 until June 2010, Dr. Scoggins was a member of the board of directors of Questar Corporationrationration, a publicly traded Rockiesbased integrated natural gas company from March 2005 until August 2011, he was a member of the board of directors of Trico Marine Services, Inc., an integrated provider of subsea, trenching and marine support vessels and services and from June 2007 until October 2012, he was a member of the board of directors of Venoco, Inc., a publicly traded oil and gas production company since 2012.
