Mr. Mario Roberto Opice Leao serves as VicePresident Executive Officer of Banco Santander S.A. He began his career in 2001 as a Citigroup associate in financial control, being the financial analyst of all Citigroup Brazil wholesale products, including global markets, financing, and corporate checking. In 2006, he acted as manager of global markets. He also played an active role in the development and innovation of derivatives in Brazil. From 2006 to 2008, he worked at Goldman Sachs as a fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities manager. From 2011 to 2015 he was Executive Superintendent of Global Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley, responsible for corporate finance and member of the Morgan Stanley Global Solutions Committee. Since October 2015, he is part of the executive team of Santander Brasil, responsible for the wholesale banking area, leading a team of 70 people, serving more than 700 large national and international companies in Brazil. This position also covers foreign exchange loans and treasury products. He holds a degree in Production Engineering from the Escola Politecnica da Universidade de Sao Paulo.
