He is Mechanical and Electrical Engineer graduated from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and received a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Stanford University in 1969.

Elected by the shareholders, the Bolsa Mexicana's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Bolsa Mexicana inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Bolsa.
