Mr. Ian Howard Cochrane is re designated as Executive Chairman of the Board of the Board of the Company effective 17 September 2018. Mr Cochrane holds degrees in Commerce and Law. He was educated in South Africa and immigrated to Australia in 1986. He practised law, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions, in national law firms Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Mallesons Stephen Jaques until 2006 when he established the boutique law firm, Cochrane Lishman, which was eventually acquired by the global law firm Clifford Chance in early 2011. Mr Cochrane has had a long association with Ausdrill having provided the legal services when Ausdrill first floated in 1994. He was regularly voted by his peers as being one of the leading MA lawyers in Australia and retired from the practise of law in December 2013. He has not provided legal services to Ausdrill or any other entities since then. Mr Cochrane is currently Chairman of VOC Group Limited and a director of Wright Prospecting Pty Ltd and Ardross Estates Pty Ltd. He was previously Chairman of Little World Beverages Limited which produced the Little Creatures beers and which was taken over by Lion Nathan in 2012. He was also previously a director of Rugby WA and the West Australian Ballet. since 2017.

AUSDRILL Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the AUSDRILL's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: AUSDRILL inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of AUSDRILL. The board's role is to monitor AUSDRILL's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. AUSDRILL's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects. On the other hand, AUSDRILL's outside directors are responsible for providing unbiased perspectives on the board's policies.
