Mr. Larry Gene Swets, Jr. serves Director of Kingsway Financial Services Inc. Before joining Kingsway in January 2010, Mr. Swets founded Itasca Financial, LLC, an advisory and investment firm specializing in the insurance industry. Prior to his work at Itasca Financial, Mr. Swets served as an insurance company executive and advisor, including the role of Director of Investments and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for Kemper Insurance. Mr. Swets graduated from Valparaiso University in 1997 and earned a Masters degree in Finance from DePaul University in 1999. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Mr. Swets is qualified to serve on our Board of Directors due to his extensive understanding of Kingsway, and his considerable operating, investment and management experience in companies in the insurance industry.
