Mr. Richard Yeates has served as Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Executive Director of Middle Island Resources Ltd since March 2, 2010. He is a geologist whose professional career has spanned 30 years, variously working for companies such as BHP, Newmont and Amax, prior to cofounding the consulting firm of Resource Service Group in 1987, which was ultimately sold to ASX listed consulting firm, Coffey International, in 2006 to become Coffey Mining. He has international experience, having worked in some 30 countries, particularly within Africa and South America, variously undertaking project management assignments, feasibility studies and independent reviews for company listings, project finance audits and technical valuations. He has also been responsible for developing and overseeing all marketing and promotional activities undertaken by RSG, RSG Global and Coffey Mining over the last 23 years. He is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors . He currently serves as a NonExecutive Director of ASX 200 nickel producer Western Areas NL, and is a board member of the AustraliaAfrica Mining Industry Group, established in early 2010 at the request of the Federal Government to facilitate Australias reengagement with Africa. He is Member of the Audit Committee within the Company. since 2010.
