Mr. Howard W. Smith, III, is President, Director of the Company. Mr. Smith was a member of our Board since July 2010, and previously served as our executive vice president chief operating officer from July 2010 to April 2015, when he was promoted to president. Mr. Smith joined Walker Dunlop in November 1980 and was a member of the management team since 1988. Mr. Smith served as Walker Dunlop, LLC executive vice president chief operating officer from 2004 to April 2015, when he was promoted to president. He also has served as a board member of Walker Dunlop, LLC or its predecessors since 2004. As president, Mr. Smith is responsible for our Multifamily, FHA Finance, Capital Markets and Property Sales groups. Mr. Smith is a member of the board of directors of the National Multi Housing Council and a member of the board of advisors to the Williams School of Commerce, Economics and Politics at Washington and Lee University since 2015.
