Mr. Georgios Triantafillakis has served as General Manager of Legal Services, Member of the Executive Committee of National Bank of Greece S.A. since April 2017. He was appointed Assistant General Manager of Legal Services in June 2015, responsible for the supervision and coordination of the activities of the Legal Services Division and external lawyers providing services to the Bank. Previously, since 2012 he held the position of Director of the National Bank of Greece Legal Services Division, while since 2006 he is Member of the Legal Council of the National Bank of Greece and since 2010 he is Member of the Legal Council of the Hellenic Bank Association. Since 1992 he is Attorneyatlaw authorized to practice before the Supreme Court. During his long career at the National Bank of Greece Legal Services Division, he represented the Bank before high Courts, arbitration tribunals and Authorities, with respect to significant legal cases in Greece and in foreign jurisdictions, involving matters of banking law, criminal law, capital markets law, competition law, European and commercial law. Georgios Triantafillakis is Professor of Law at the Democritus University of Thrace and Professor at the National School of Judges. He was member of the Competition Commission, and member of legislative committees and legal science societies. He has published monographs, academic writings, and a series of scientific studies in particular sectors of commercial law, while he was elected Vicechairman of the Board of the Association of Greek Commercialists. He is a graduate of the University of Athens Law School and holds a doctoral degree in commercial law from Tubingen University. He is Member of the Executive Committee . since 2017.
